LAKE GRAIN ELEVATOR AND FLOUR MILL

The subject for this watercolor is the LAKE GRAIN ELEVATOR AND FLOUR MILL in Ronan Montana. The elevator is located in the Flathead Valley about 60 miles north of Missoula. It consist of two buildings, one a grain elevator and one a flour mill.

Old Montana Grain Elevator

This old grain elevator is located near Chinook Montana.a few miles east of Havre, Montana. It is comprised of several buildings that were added on at different times. The structure in the front near the stair steps appeared to be the resident of the miller.

AXTELL FARM

The subject for this painting is the family farm in the Bitterroot Valley in Western Montana near Hamilton.

This is a typical tractor from the late 40's that was used on many Montana farms

Farm Shop

This is a typical farm shop that may house a tractor and mostly it is used as a place to repair stuff.

Sommers Home

This house originally belonged to a German immigrant named Wilhelm Sommers. It has been abandoned and is in bad repair. It is located in the the Flathead valley northwest of Ronan, Montana.

This guy was really mad. He was abandoned on an old farm in the Bitterroot valley when the owner passed on.

Apple Tree

The was an old apple in the Bitterroot Valley that had not been pruned in years. The mountains behind the tree are the Sapphire mountains.

This is an old farm in the Bitterroot valley.
